The Education Project: A Volunteer Tutoring Opportunity for UF Pre-Health Students

Hello Pre-Health Students!

If you're interested in using your skills to help children in underserved or under-resourced K-12 schools, this may be a compelling volunteer opportunity for you to take on this summer. The needs of students in these schools are particularly critical given how the current economic strain is affecting education quality.

 

The Education Project is part of a 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit that works to connect volunteer tutors across the nation with K-12 students in need of a virtual tutor. After applying, tutors are matched with a student and parent somewhere in the USA or Jamaica and are able to provide tutoring services to their mentee! It's very rewarding to see the continual growth of a young learner under your tutelage, especially given how socioeconomic disparity in our country is hampering learning opportunities for many children!
