American Society for Microbiology UF Chapter 4th GBM

The American Society for Microbiology UF Chapter would like to invite you to our fourth general body meeting on Thursday, November 30th at 6:30pm in the Microbiology and Cell Science Seminar Room.

With all the stress of finals and end of semester projects, we will be holding a de-stressing meeting. The meeting will consist of a fundraiser where you can pay $5 to paint a microbiology themed Christmas ornament. We will also be bringing therapy dogs to the meeting for some puppy love! Instead of our normal pizza, we will be providing holiday treats and drinks!

We hope to see you there!

UF Habitat Bi-Weekly Update - GBM #7 & POTLUCK!

Hello everyone,

Hopefully we all had a great Thanksgiving break this past week and are returning to school refreshed on Monday morning. Can you believe we’ve reached the final stretch of fall semester 2017? Winter break is so close, we just have to persevere through finals week for a well deserved time-off. Thank you to everyone who’s volunteered with us this semester, as well as last spring. 2017 turned out to be a great year for UF Habitat - let’s keep up the hard work into 2018! We sincerely appreciate every one of you who’s contributed to the organization in one way or another this year, and the future homeowners appreciate your dedication even more. You should feel good about putting your spare time to good use - there are so many other things you could be doing, but you chose to give back to the community.

The year may be almost over, but UF Habitat isn't until we have our last GBM and builds of the semester:

Our LAST General Body Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 11/28 at 7:20PM in Rinker 240, same time and place as always. There is a Facebook event set up in case you’d like a reminder the day of so you don’t accidentally miss it or show up late. Don’t forget to sign up for the last builds after the meeting as well! We are still selling our BRAND NEW SHIRTS at this meeting, so be sure to bring cash, card, or have your Venmo ready! Prices range between 15-20$ depending on which model you get- snatch up that long sleeve shirt before winter break.

This meeting is our traditional end-of-the-semester POTLUCK so please make an effort to come hang out one last time and get (and bring!) some great dishes to share. There’s a link in this email and on the Facebook event if you’d like to sign up with your dish just so we know what to expect.

Here's a link the Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/364754747328258/

Here’s a link to the Potluck Sign-Up (PLEASE bring stuff!!!) : http://bit.ly/HabitatPotluck
