Balance180 Hands-On Summer Volunteer Opportunity!!!!

Dear Pre-Health!
I am the Summer Camp Volunteer Coordinator for Balance180 Gymnastics & Sports Academy. We are a local non-profit organization that focuses on integrating children with varying abilities through sports. This summer we are running our fourth annual summer camp, and are looking for volunteers that are excited to work with children with special needs!
Our inclusive summer camp provides a great hands-on learning experience for student volunteers. All of our volunteers work 1-1 or 2-1 with the participating campers (ages 2-15 years) in a wide range of activities including gymnastics, crafts, and games. They help our athletes make new friends, learn new motor skills, and encourage them to try new activities. The athletes have a range of disabilities including Autism, Down Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy among others.
Summer camp will be offered from July 10th to July 29th and will be held Monday - Friday in the morning (8:00-12:00). No gymnastics experience is required to volunteer! Volunteers can sign up for any week or specific days, whatever works best for their schedule. If they are not available in the mornings, they may be able to help out in the afternoon, assisting some of our older campers that stay for a full day :)
We are so excited to be offering an inclusive camp again this summer for children in the Gainesville community, and we hope that some of your students may be ale to share in this wonderful experience! We would appreciate your help with spreading the word on this opportunity. Students who are interested in volunteering can email us at balance180summercamp@gmail.com. A flyer with additional information is attached.
Best wishes and thank you in advance for your support,
Natalie for the Balance180 Team

Hello friends!

First of all, thank you to everyone that made our Swamp Fundraiser so successful! We raised over $200 with the help of those who volunteered their time and those who came out to the event. Your support for this organization is invaluable!

We will be have officer elections during our next GBM on April 4th!

The officer positions slate order will be:

  • Vice President of Administration
  • Vice President of Builds
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Collegiate Challenge Chair
  • Event Coordinator
  • Fundraising Chair
  • Public Relations Chair
  • Social Chair

-If you would like more information on any of the positions, you can email myself or the respective officer and we would be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

To those running, be sure to prepare a quick ~1min speech about yourself to give at the GBM so our members can learn more about you and cast their vote for the candidate they want to fill each position. The election process is ~casual~ so you don't need to dress up (but by all means feel free to if that's what you wanna do!).

Thank you all for making this semester so successful  Our club would not be as great as it is without every single one of you.
