Out in STEM (oSTEM) is a student-led organization that strives to provide social and professional opportunities to LGBTQ+ students (and allies) in STEM fields at the University of Florida! If this sounds like a mission you support, I urge you to apply to join oSTEM’s leadership team. This is a great opportunity to support the LGBTQ+ community and fellow peers through promoting LGBTQ+ interests, hosting social events, and facilitating professional development opportunities for our members.
Additionally, oSTEM is the parent organization to three sub-organizations: Pride in Engineering (PiE), Pride in CALS (PiCALS), and Pride in Psychology (PiP) that tailor events to students in these groups more closely. We are also accepting applications for directors of these organizations and those interested in these subjects are welcome to apply (you can be outside of these majors/colleges and still apply)!Details regarding the roles and responsibilities of each available leadership position can be found in the following survey, in which applications should be submitted. All applications are due on Sunday, May 28th, 2023, at 11:59PM and short interviews will take place the following week(s).
