The Small Fruit and Vegetable Lab (an entomology lab) is looking for an undergraduate student to participate in a mentored research experience related to pest management of invasive spotted-wing drosophila in organic fruit. Students will be able to gain valuable lab and field research skills in a supportive environment, connect with research labs and students across the country, and learn about organic fruit production systems, all while getting paid $15 per hour!
Candidates should expect to commit to full-time employment from mid-May to mid-August. If chosen for this internship, you will spend 45% of your time working on a mentored research project, 45% on general lab and fieldwork, and 10% on professional development workshops and mentoring activities.
