Dream Team is having a Summer 2023 Application Cycle! We are a non-profit organization dedicated to brightening the lives of the children in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. Our theme for this application cycle is “Fun in the Sun” and we are very excited to kick off this Summer season with an awesome new class of Dream Team members! Our application is currently open and will remain open until Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at 11:59PM.

We interact with patients through weekly volunteer shifts in the PICU and Cardiac PICU. As an organization, we also prioritize our relationships with the Gainesville community and are involved in several outreach efforts through initiatives hosted by the Friends of the Library, Camp Boggy Creek, Project Makeover, and more. This past semester, we’ve expanded our Diversity and Inclusivity committee and completed a project in which we transformed the MRI room that our patients use into an underwater adventure to ease stress associated with the procedure!
