UF MAPS (Multicultural Association of Pre-health Students)

Hello, my name is Aaron Claypool and I am the Vice President of UF's Mu Delta Chapter of  MAPS (Multicultural Association of Pre-health Students) in association with SNMA (Student National Medical Association). Our mission is to assist underrepresented students pursuing careers in the healthcare field in enrolling and successfully completing their studies in the various colleges of the health profession, serve the health needs of underrepresented communities, educate others on important health matters, and ensure cultural sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population. We offer a multitude of resources and opportunities to enrich the pre-health experience for students of various cultures and backgrounds.

UF MAPS has general body meetings (GBMs) every other Monday at 6 PM and is open for all to attend. Our meetings provide pre-health students with different resources, opportunities, and information to aid students on their pre-health journey. We host guest health professional speakers, community outreach and service events, workshops for graduate school applications and preparation, as well as provide information for research and shadowing opportunities. The following is our GBM schedule for this semester
GBM 1: February 5th, 2024
GBM 2: February 19th, 2024
GBM 3: March 4th, 2024
GBM 4: March 18th, 2o24
GBM 5: April 1st, 2o24
GBM 6: April 15th, 2024
To stay posted on GBM locations and topics as well as our other events we host throughout the semester (volunteer opportunities, socials, etc.), please follow our Instagram: @UFmaps.

Feel free to reach out in a DM to our Instagram or send me an email @MAPS VP - Aaron Claypool with any questions. We hope to see you at our first GBM of the semester!
