Are you looking for a fun way to volunteer and get involved in the Gainesville community?
The UF Chemistry Outreach Program is a community service opportunity that allows volunteers to make weekly or biweekly visits to Alachua County classrooms to perform hands-on science experiments with K-8 students. We also have opportunities for community events, after-school tutoring, and more! We welcome all majors - no experience necessary to spread the love of science.
Here is the link to the volunteer sign-up form (due by Jan. 26th at 11:59pm): https://bit.ly/S24OutreachApp
We will be hosting our in-person volunteer orientations (for both new and returning volunteers) on Jan. 23rd and 24th at 6:30pm in WEIL 0270 and LIT 0109 respectively (choose one). It is recommended (but not required) to have submitted your volunteer sign-up form before attending! If you are NOT able to attend either orientation (or if these dates have passed), please fill out the orientation makeup request here: https://bit.ly/S24MakeupRequest
As the program has expanded greatly with the popularity of in-class volunteers, we will need all the help we can get. So make sure to tell your friends!
