Footprints is excited to announce we're holding a Fall 2023 application cycle! The Footprints: Buddy and Support Program is a student-run, 501(c) nonprofit volunteering and community service organization benefiting UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital and the local Gainesville community. By engaging kids in one-on-one play, we embody our motto to let “kids just be kids” while receiving treatment at Shands. Applications will open on July 17th at 8AM and will be due by July 28th at 11:59PM; the application link can be found on our website and social media. Our application is open to anyone, regardless of your major! You do not need to be pre-health or need any previous medical experience as our primary goal is focused on the kiddos.
We will be having an Interest Meeting on Zoom for students to learn more information about our program and application logistics, ask questions, and meet some of our current Footprints members. We will also be hosting a Craft Social on campus for students to meet current Footprints members and ask any questions they may have. It will also involve making crafts for children at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital! More information on the dates and times for these events can be found on our Instagram, @uf_footprints!
Additionally, the attached a graphic summarizes what Footprints does as an organization. More information and details regarding our application cycle can be found on our social media platforms linked below:
