AAPA's August Newsletter to Pre-PA Advisors and Clubs

Good morning,

Welcome to AAPA’s newsletter for pre-PA student organizations. As you may know, my name is Rebecca, and my goal is to provide the resources you need to support pre-PAs at your institution. I have some exciting updates for you, and as always, encourage you to pass this information forward to the pre-PAs you represent and guide each day.

Ø  New Resource - Explore your Toolkit for Advisors and Pre-PA Clubs

If you've found most online pre-PA information overwhelming and disorganized, then you may be happy to hear that the AAPA Pre-PA Advisor and Clubs Toolkit is now available! This complimentary resource provides all the tools you need to support pre-PAs on your campus, including information about the PA profession, the steps to becoming a PA, and opportunities for gaining experience. The toolkit also includes tips for starting a pre-PA club on your campus, recorded presentations, and more. Check it out today!

Ø  Fall 2024 - Schedule your AAPA Pre-PA Presentation

Now’s the time to schedule a live, virtual AAPA presentation this fall semester. Invite me to meet with your pre-PAs, discuss the role of a PA, and support PA school applicants. Content can be adapted to your needs, and hosted on Zoom or Teams – just let me know a day that works for you.

Ø  August-December – Invite your pre-PAs to an AAPA live webinar or event

AAPA hosts specialized pre-PA and student webinars each month. Visit our Pre-PA Membership page for upcoming online learning opportunities. (Psst … Here is a sneak peek of a fun opportunity coming soon: The 2024 Virtual Pre-PA Mixer will be hosted this October. Details coming soon!)

My inbox is always open for pre-PA questions. We would love to provide any support we can so that your pre-PAs receive the most current, accurate information about the PA profession and PA education.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Jacobs
