Medicine, Education, and Development for Low-Income Families Everywhere (MEDLIFE) Student Organization

Hello Pre-Health Students! Are you looking for a student organization to get more involved in health disparities in the Gainesville community and globally?

My name is Yasmine Mohseni and I am the 2023-2024 President of MEDLIFE. MEDLIFE (Medicine, Education, and Development For Low-Income Families Everywhere) is an international organization based in Lima, Peru with a mission to empower the low-socioeconomic populations of Latin America and Africa with sustainable community development. Through our pillars of Medicine, Education, and Development, we help families achieve greater freedom from the constraints of poverty.

The UF MEDLIFE chapter is committed to addressing these issues through our volunteer work in the Gainesville community and through our Service Learning Trips to countries like Peru, Costa Rica, and Tanzania. There, we set up mobile medical clinics to provide sustainable care to these underserved populations. We also host several events per week like socials, workshops, and intramurals for members to build lasting friendships through the organization!

We are open to all Pre-Health tracks and do not require any application. Come learn more about what you can do as a MEDLIFE member at our first GBM on Tuesday, September 12 at 6PM in Turlington L007.
