Register for the 2023 lifestyle medicine certification exam by Sept. 30th at 6:00 p.m. PT!

 

By becoming certified in lifestyle medicine, you will become one of over 5,000 diplomates world-wide. 

ACLM’s accredited Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review (30 hours) and Lifestyle Medicine Core Competencies (32 hours) courses and annual conference serve as prerequisites for the lifestyle medicine certification experiential pathway. Successful completion of the Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum qualifies residents to sit for lifestyle medicine board certification through the educational pathway.

Incorporating Lifestyle Medicine Into Primary Care Practice: Perceptions and Practices of Family Physicians

 

Lifestyle medicine (LM) uses therapeutic lifestyle behavior change to address the root causes of chronic diseases. The purpose of this study was to assess family physicians’ perceptions and utilization of LM principles in their primary care practices, as well as identify reported barriers to implementation.ACLM and AJLM offer quick, easy and low cost CME/CE for select AJLM journal articles. These articles also offer ABLM MOC to support those certified in lifestyle medicine.

 

ACLM members earn FREE CME/CE credit by reading the CME/CE article and successfully completing the online CME/CE activity. Non-members pay just $40 per article.

Health Professions Academic Pathway to Certification for Students

Application Deadline Extended to October 15th

 

If you are teaching lifestyle medicine in a course within a health professions program, consider getting the course approved as part of ACLM's Academic Pathways toward certification. The Partial Academic Pathway fall deadline has been extended to October 15th. All master's and doctorate health professions university programs are welcome to apply. Contact Kelly Freeman, ACLM's Director of Academic Advancement, with any questions.

Taste of LM Grant

Any U.S. medical or health professional student or faculty member interested in hosting a non-commercial lifestyle medicine educational event may apply for a grant to fund a plant-based meal or snack to be served at the event.
