Description:
The Recruitment Ambassadors Program at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is hosting the 5th annual Pre-Pharmacy Summit on Saturday, February 18! All current undergraduate and post-graduate students with an interest in pharmacy are encouraged to attend the Summit to learn about the pharmacy school admissions process and network with prospective and current pharmacy students. Participants will also have the chance to learn more about the field through various breakout sessions featuring our current students and TED talks led by our esteemed faculty. This year specifically, the emphasis will be on the theme: "Propelling Pharmacy Phorward: Hot Topics in Pharmacy Practice" where we will focus on current issues in pharmacy practice, including mental health, interprofessional practice, and pharmacy-related legislation. We will also highlight careers in community, clinical and ambulatory care pharmacy. We will offer a hybrid option where students can choose to attend virtually or in person. This event will be highly interactive, so we encourage you to attend in-person if able! We will continue to monitor all federal, state, and local COVID-19 guidelines to ensure a safe and fun event for all. We will communicate any updates or changes to our plans as quickly as possible. Make sure to register by Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in order to secure your spot at the Summit this year!
