7:00 PM (Central Time)

Albert is a research trainee at the National Human Genome Research Institute in a translational laboratory focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular biology and studying the potential use of genetic variation for susceptibility of cardiovascular disease at the clinical and population level. In 2016, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine awarded him the student trainee award and in 2017, the Donald A. Pegg scholarship. The grant went towards expansion of the Integrative Medicine Interest Group at the University of Florida with a Walk with a Doc program which provided opportunities for exercise, education, and empowerment for the local Gainesville community. His delight in community health strengthened throughout a graduate program the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is on track for a career in ameliorating health disparities by understanding the science from cells to society.
