Are you interested in helping fight health disparities within Gainesville and abroad? Join Health Education and Literacy Organization (HELO)!
We provide students at UF opportunities to serve our Gainesville community and beyond by improving access to health information and editing medical documents for low-literacy accessibility. Our projects help all members of our community, of all backgrounds, languages, and literacy levels, understand essential health information. We hold monthly virtual GBMs and our team meetings are scheduled at varying times based on the availability of members. Members can get volunteer hours, research opportunities, and plenty of avenues for leadership!
