EACN HOQI Volunteer Program Applications

Applications to volunteer with the Equal Access Clinic Network Health Outreach and Quality Improvement (HOQI) Program are open now till Friday, July 26th for prospective volunteers to start in Fall 2024. Our dedicated undergraduate students volunteer alongside physicians and UF medical students at our four clinics in a variety of ways. Our volunteer positions are a valuable experience for any student pursuing a healthcare career, and more importantly, provides care for our local underserved community in the Gainesville area.

Our general undergraduate volunteers work directly with incoming patients, performing data entry, and completing other crucial tasks to deliver care at our primary care clinics. Outside of the clinic, our volunteers coordinate patient follow-up with prescriptions, test results, and referrals to specialty services. General volunteers also have the opportunity to become certified in HIV Testing and Spanish-language translation. Commitment includes 1 evening evening per week (Mon-Thurs), 1 office shift per week, general body meetings twice per semester, and scheduled day time hour for patient follow up.

For Applicants, please keep the following requirements in mind:

1. You must be a UF undergraduate student with at least 3 semesters remaining

2. You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
