Who will GHC be looking for? We're seeking professionals between the ages of 21-30 from a range of backgrounds who are passionate about health equity and looking to grow their leadership capacity. Most roles do not require clinical training or prior public health experience.
Who can apply and what's new this year? Citizens of our operating countries of Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia are still eligible to apply AND we are thrilled to also invite citizens of the following countries to apply: Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. We also invite citizens of our four operating countries to apply for roles in other operating countries (so, a Malawian fellow can be placed in Rwanda, for example). What do GHC fellows do? For one year, fellows fill roles within Ministries of Health, grassroots and international NGOs, and academic and social enterprises in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia. They access GHC's leadership development offerings: a living stipend; quarterly trainings; skill building with world-class partners; coaching and mentorship; opportunities for public speaking and writing; community building and integration into GHC's global network.
How can potential applicants start preparing? Learn more about the fellowship journey and the application process, check out the fellowship benefits and logistics, and review the application preview. |
