Are you studying Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) at an HBCU/MI?

Or, have you recently graduated from a STEM program at an HBCU/MI?

If so, spend a summer working with experts from the DoD and get paid for it all!Great Minds in STEM strongly encourages traditionally underrepresented undergraduate and graduate students, who are Hispanic, African American, or Native American, a U.S. citizen, and attending a Hispanic-Serving Institution, Tribal College, or HBCU to apply for this fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art U.S. Department of Defense research facility.

Department of Defense (DoD) Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Serving Institutions (HBCU/MI) Summer Research Internship Program

DoD HBCU/MI Summer Research Internship Program participants are afforded the opportunity to perform advanced research that contributes to the world around them. This program provides experiences to explore the talents and interests of future scientists and engineers. It aims to increase the number of minority scientists and engineers working throughout the DoD.

Benefits include:

  • Bi-weekly stipend of $1200 per week
  • Travel and housing included
  • Gain valuable confidence and work experience
  • Learn in state-of-the-art research facilities

  • Work side by side with DoD scientists and engineers
