Hello!
I am a Co-Lead in Crafting Care, an initiative under Equal Access Research Network in crocheting goods for underserved communities in Gainesville! We just started this organization this semester and are looking for people to join our board! We have a lot of positions available where there is no prior crochet experience needed!
Our organization has workshops where we teach students and/or elders how to make crochet items that we plan to donate! So far, we've crocheted stress balls for kids at the Child Advocacy Center, winter headbands for Blossoming Butterfly, and made blanket quilts with elders at HarborChase. We hope to make a welcoming environment where you can learn a new stress relieving hobby while also doing good for the community!
