Good afternoon!
Hospitaliteam is a new student organization dedicated to providing hospitality and compassionate care to patients in the Shands Hospital. Our mission is as follows:
"Hospitaliteam's mission is to provide kindness and a warm welcome to patients who may be feeling isolated or disconnected from the rest of the world. We hope to provide them with fun, comfort, and compassion during their stay to ensure that their nonmedical needs are cared for.
We will be working with underserved patients in the UF Health Shands Hospital, including adult populations who are not typically reached by other UF student organizations. Our weekly volunteer shifts are dedicated to spending one-on-one time with patients on the 6th and 7th floors and in the Admission Discharge Transition Unit (ADTU) and providing them with personal care and leisure items from our Hospitality Cart, such as chapstick and sudoku puzzles."
