Then come check out the Society for Viral Studies, also known as the Virology Club!

Looking for a tight-knit, thought provoking, interactive pre-health organization? Or, interested in research?

Then come check out the Society for Viral Studies, also known as the Virology Club!

The Society for Viral Studies has been established to promote education of students and the community in the field of viral studies and their impact on public health through guest lectures, travel, and community service. Another purpose of the Society for Viral Studies is to network with authorities in viral studies and public health. The society also conducts research to help aspiring scientists obtain invaluable experience in the research field.

We pride ourselves in not charging dues for members to be a part of our organization. We emphasize camaraderie and aim to support one another in pre-health pursuits as well as in scientific exploration! Joining is as easy as showing up to one of our meetings and hanging out with us at our events.

Perhaps our most unique feature is your ability to do research in our club-exclusive phage laboratory here on campus, run by our mentor Dr. James Maruniak.

Our first general body meeting is August 28th, 2017 in LIT 0121 at 7:30 PM. Meetings will be every other Monday, thus the second will be September 11th, 2017 -- same time, same place.

Please check out our website, and join the list-serv to get important emails regarding meetings and events! http://virologyuf.weebly.com/

Also, feel free to follow us on our Facebook page (UF Virology Club) for regular updates. https://www.facebook.com/groups/UFvirology/
