Webinars for PhD and Master’s Programs in Pharmacology & Physiology at Georgetown University

I am the Senior Graduate Program Coordinator for the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at Georgetown University. I am reaching out to share information about our upcoming webinars that will highlight the opportunities available in our PhD in Pharmacology & Physiology and two distinct Master’s programs.

Our programs are designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge and hands-on experience needed to excel in the fields of pharmacology and physiology, whether they are preparing for careers in academia, industry, healthcare, or further professional studies.

Program Highlights:

• MS in Pharmacology: Ideal for students seeking a career in research, clinical trials, or regulatory affairs, as well as those preparing for further professional studies in health-related fields. 
• MS in Physiology: Geared toward students pursuing further professional studies or careers in healthcare, offering a strong foundation in human physiology and related biomedical sciences.
• PhD in Pharmacology & Physiology: A comprehensive program combining coursework, laboratory research, and mentorship, preparing students to become leaders in biomedical research.

Our webinars will cover the curriculum, research opportunities, and application processes for these programs. This is an excellent chance for prospective students to ask questions and engage directly with faculty and current students.

Clemson University MCAT Fall 2024 Scholarships

Clemson University is kicking off the another year of our MCAT scholarship call! 

Test preparation programs can cost thousands of dollars and provide a decided advantage to those who can afford them. Last cycle we offered 312 full scholarships for MCAT prep programs (list of past winners who agreed to be listed)

This fall, we plan to offer at least 300 additional full scholarships (pending enough applicants). We are especially trying to get scholarships to students from groups underrepresented in health professions, first-generation college students, and all students with any financial need.

Scholarships are available for both On-demand and instructor-guided intensive programs (8- or 14-week) with official AAMC resources and thousands of practice questions.

The average student scores in the 82nd percentile on the MCAT after one of the prep courses.

Current applications are due October 15 and early applicants have an advantage because awards will be made on a rolling basis. Program details and the scholarship application for students can be found at this link. The application is a simple form and should take a student <10 minutes to complete.

Students can also evaluate my free full MCAT Organic Chemistry course to see if they like the format. Anyone can ’enroll’ for free to access this free course and it covers all the organic topics listed on the official MCAT outline.

Future Leaders in Surgery Symposium for Underrepresented Students (FLXSUS)

Dear Future Physicians,

The Future Leaders in Surgery Symposium for Underrepresented Students (FLXSUS) is a virtual symposium series designed to bridge the gap between underrepresented undergraduates and surgical fields. Each symposium offers comprehensive exposure to specialties such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, and plastic surgery.

High school and undergraduate students are highly encouraged to attend. Attendees will have access to extraordinary surgical cases, mentorship from attending faculty, residents, and medical students, and insights into groundbreaking research from renowned leaders. Participants will also receive a certificate and have the opportunity to connect with physicians and peers.
