Are you interested in helping create low-literacy healthcare material? Join Health Education and Literacy Organization (HELO)!
Health literacy is the ability to read and understand basic health information.
Our goal is to stop low literacy from being a barrier to good health. Our
projects promote the accessibility of healthcare information in Gainesville and
beyond. We also advocate and educate about health literacy in partnership with
other organizations. Join us to help bridge this disparity! We hold monthly
GBMs (Tuesdays at 6 pm) and our team meetings are scheduled at varying times
based on the availability of members. Members can get volunteer hours, research
opportunities, and plenty of avenues for leadership!
