Register NOW! Medi-Gators Virtual Shadowing Program

SHADOW 40 HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS THIS SEMESTER! Registration for the Medi-Gators Virtual Shadowing Program is NOW OPEN!

This semester, participants have the opportunity to shadow 40 healthcare professionals within a wide-array of health careers and specialties via zoom, meaning you can earn up to 40 virtual shadowing hours and a certificate, as well as potential opportunities for mentorship, research, in-person shadowing, and more.
With virtual shadowing, you shadow when it is convenient for you! Participants have the option to view live zoom presentations OR to view recorded presentations later in the week (or a combination of both live and recorded!).
In addition, the flexibility of Medi-Gators allows you to put in as much time as you wish! Although we offer 40 virtual shadowing hours, you are not required to complete all 40 hours. For example, if you view 8 presentations throughout the semester, you can earn 8 virtual shadowing hours (and you can still include on applications!).
Our speakers typically share their contact information, so if you're looking to (1) learn more about a variety of health professions to clarify your career goals, (2) learn more about a particular career path of interest, (3) connect with healthcare professionals, and lots more, Medi-Gators is for you!
Virtual shadowing begins on February 20th and ends on April 12th. REGISTER NOW!

More information about Medi-Gators:
The Medi-Gators Virtual Shadowing Program, run through the UF College of Medicine Department of Neurology, features healthcare professionals within a wide-array of careers and specialties (doctors, nurses, PAs, dentists, pharmacists, speech pathologists, audiologists, PTs, OTs, perfusionists, and more). The benefits of shadowing through zoom include a low time-commitment and flexible attendance options, allowing participants to learn, interact with healthcare professionals, and potentially gain mentorship, research opportunities, in-person shadowing, and more, for free!
We intentionally recruit speakers who are eager to provide mentorship to the next generation of healthcare professionals (that might be you!). Many of our speakers share their contact information, which offers you a great opportunity to reach out to them to set up meetings for guidance and advice.
This semester, live zoom presentations will take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:35am-10:25am & 10:40am-11:30am via zoom (that's six healthcare professionals you can connect with each week).
Information Session
Learn more about Medi-Gators at our information session on Thursday, February 9th at 6:30pm at the Harrell Medical Education Building learning studio 125 or on zoom. Sign up to attend here!
