The Wallet Lab in the Department of Pathology, Immunology
and Laboratory Medicine is seeking a motivated and hard working person to
become a laboratory technician. This job is initially planned for one year
(8/2016-8/2017) and would be ideal for a gap year. It is possible that the
position will continue beyond one year. The candidate should send a CV or

prior experience in labs is required, but preference will be given to those
with relevant experience. The candidate will be trained in all necessary skills
on the job. Must be willing to work with human blood and blood products.
Position: OPS Laboratory Technician, full-time (40 hours per
week, some limited evening/weekend hours as needed)
Responsibilities: General lab duties (cleaning, stocking,
making buffers, sterilizing lab waste, etc.), safety (maintaining a safe and
clean work environment) and scientific (PCR/molecular biology, cell culture,
flow cytometry, immune assays, etc.)
Pay: $12-14/hr depending on experience
