Celebrating Our Impact
A Pre-Health Festival
The
University of Florida’s Alpha Epsilon Delta and Pre-Professional Service Organization
will be hosting a barbecue and field day competition at Lake Wauburg on Sunday,
April 3rd from 12-3pm. We hope this event will unite pre-health
organizations at UF and thus would like to extend an invitation to all
organizations.
This
event will provide your organization the opportunity to network with
like-minded students, listen to inspirational speakers, enjoy good barbecue food,
participate in friendly competition, and a raffle. The breadth of speakers
includes doctors, nurses, student athletes, cancer survivors, as well as the
founders of the Climb for Cancer Foundation (CFC) and the UF College of
Medicine’s Mobile Outreach Clinic (MOC).
At
this event we will be accepting donations to support PSO’s Relay for Life team
as well as AE∆’s philanthropy
Impact Gainesville. Impact Gainesville’s mission is to improve health care
provided to the Gainesville community by raising funds for two local nonprofits:
CFC and MOC. By uniting UF’s pre-health student body we believe that together
we can go the distance to end health disparities in our local community.
All
organizations will have a chance to present and share how they have made an
impact on the Gainesville community over the past year. This will be an
excellent opportunity for future volunteer collaborations between organizations
but it also provides each student organization an opportunity to reflect on the
good deeds they have done.
We
hope that this event will provide the UF pre-health student body an opportunity
to come together and “Celebrate Our Impact” on Gainesville!
Sincerely,
Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Professional
Service Organization
