Brazil Zika Virus Trip

Hey ASM Gators members, Danilo da Silva from ASM Gators has been kind enough to set up this trip for the ASM Gators and the Society for Viral Studies (Virology Club). It will pertain to the Zika Virus, shadowing doctors, getting direct patient contact and experience, as well as a little bit of fun. It will take place on June 19 - 26th; this is the week between Summer A and Summer B semesters. We will be in the north-east part of Brazil, in the state of Bahia, in the city of Teixeira de Freitas. You must have a passport to attend the trip, you do not need a VISA. Pricing will vary on the exchange rate and date that you purchase plane tickets. As of now, plane tickets are anywhere from $400-$600 round trip, and housing with the current exchange rate is between $20-$30 per day (breakfast included). We hope you can come!
