The UF Chemistry Club Outreach Program is a community service opportunity that allows volunteers to make weekly, biweekly, or monthly visits to Alachua County classrooms to perform hands-on science experiments with K-8 students. Scheduling is extremely flexible, and we also have opportunities for community events, after-school tutoring, and more! We welcome non-Chemistry Club members as well as all majors - no experience necessary to spread the love of science. Everyone interested can participate!
Step 1: Our in-person orientation for all volunteers are on Sept. 13th and 14th at 6pm in LIT0101 (pick one). Please fill out the orientation sign-up here. Don’t worry - we will be scheduling another session for volunteers unable to attend or that join our program after these dates, so still fill out the form ASAP.
Step 2: Please fill out our volunteer application by Mon Sept. 19th at 11:59pm to get matched into a group. Applications submitted after this date will be admitted into current groups when possible.
Step 3: The program has expanded greatly with the popularity of in-class volunteers, and we need all the help we can get. So make sure to tell your friends! Go to https://linktr.ee/ufchemoutreach to join our Discord and ListServ for updates!
