SHADOW 18 HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS THIS SUMMER! REGISTER NOW!
This is a reminder that registration for the summer Medi-Gators session is open now! Registration closes on Friday, July 8th.
The Medi-Gators Virtual Shadowing Program features healthcare professionals within a wide-array of careers and specialties (doctors, nurses, PAs, dentists, pharmacists, speech pathologists, audiologists, PTs, OTs, and more). The benefits of shadowing through zoom include a low time-commitment and flexible attendance options, allowing participants to learn, interact with healthcare professionals, and potentially gain mentorship, research opportunities, in-person shadowing, and more, for free!
What do we mean by "flexible attendance options"? Participants have the option to attend the live zoom presentations, view presentation recordings, or combine the two attendance options! Regardless of how you choose to view presentations, you have the opportunity to earn virtual shadowing hours and a certificate, which can be included on applications to health professional schools.
How can you gain mentorship through Medi-Gators? We intentionally recruit speakers who are eager to provide mentorship to the next generation of healthcare professionals (that's you!). Many of our speakers share their contact information with you, which offers you a great opportunity to reach out to them to set up weekly or bi-weekly meetings for guidance and advice. This could turn into a strong letter of recommendation!
The Summer 2022 session is 3-weeks long, running from Monday, July 11th to Friday, July 29th. Live presentations will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to 10:50am and from 11am to 11:50am --> that's two healthcare professionals each M/W/F over the 3-week period, bringing you to hear from 18 speakers this summer!
REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW and it will close on July 8th at 11:59pm. Register HERE!
