Potential volunteer opportunity for students with Fit For All!

Hello Fellow UF Gators!

Fit For All is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) program that serves the special needs community. We are currently looking to bring on more volunteers. We will be resuming our program on July 27th after the UF summer break.

Our class schedule is as follows:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3:00-3:45

Tuesday, Thursday 3:00-3:45

We are reaching out to those interested in volunteering for the opportunity to come in and guide our athletes through fitness activities – including a circuit style group class and strength training machines. We ask new and returning volunteers to please complete an online application at the link provided as soon as possible as there is limited capacity:

https://forms.gle/JULwD6ZSjNFD6i6f9

Keep in mind that the number of volunteers we can currently accept is limited in accordance with CDC recommendations. As the class size is up to 15 athletes per class session, we are only taking 15 volunteers to come in MWF and 15 volunteers for TTH. Slots may fill up quickly, so we highly recommend anyone interested to respond as soon as possible.

Please remember if you are signing up for a class, you must attend ALL days (either MWF or TTH). Signing up to volunteer is a commitment you must uphold. If you are unable to come in at a given time, you must contact aneri@fitforall.org at least 3 days prior to your expected absence to ensure a substitute to be found. Failure to do so leaves our athletes without a workout buddy.

Below are the new updates regarding class guidelines:

  • Classes are limited to 15 athletes per session

  • Athletes and volunteers must stay 6 feet apart in the classroom when exercising without masks

  • Volunteers are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class time

To ensure we’re taking all the precautionary measures to avoid and risks, we ask the following:

  • Do NOT attend class if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, including high fever or cough

  • It is recommended participants bring their OWN water bottle to minimize use of water fountains

  • Masks are not required for entry into the gym, however, are STRONGLY recommended to be worn for the duration of class

If you would like to join our team this semester and help our athletes with special needs live a more fun, healthier and fit lifestyle, please fill out the earlier mentioned link (https://forms.gle/JULwD6ZSjNFD6i6f9).
