Dear friends,
We’re at a critical inflection point in public and global health. In just the past few months, we’ve seen the U.S. withdraw from the WHO, development aid slashed, and public health leaders sidelined for defending equity and evidence.
But Global Health Corps' (GHC) 1300+ health equity champions are not backing down. And neither are we.
Right now, GHC fellows and alumni are advocating for health policy change, addressing growing gaps in care, and working together to solve urgent challenges in their communities.
This moment demands more from all of us. GHC is harnessing our proven leadership approach and 15 years of experience to: - Coach, mentor, train, and create spaces for our current fellows and alumni—to bolster their resilience as they navigate their careers and make tough decisions about the programs and teams they lead.
- Recruit and select our 2025-2026 US and Africa fellow cohorts, launching in September—to ensure young leaders have the support and skills they need to protect their communities’ health.
- Strengthen our long-standing partnerships with governments under pressure—helping to meet their talent needs, including leadership and management training, as they navigate delivering for their populations with fewer resources and heightened scrutiny.
- Expand our ecosystem and field building efforts—convening stakeholders in our countries of operation to chart a path forward in this new era and providing custom solutions to partners’ leadership and management challenges.
We know policy will keep shifting—but adaptable, innovative and equity-driven leadership will protect and save many lives now while shaping more sustainable systems for the long haul.
With gratitude, Heather Anderson CEO, Global Health Corps |
