Hello Pre-Health Students,
My name is Hannah Marmol, and I’m the Health Director of a new organization called GRACE Advocacy Program (GAP). If you are looking for a way to give back to the less fortunate in the community around us at UF, or looking for service hours with a concrete real-world benefit, this club is perfect for you.
GRACE Marketplace is the biggest homeless shelter in Alachua county. We actively communicate with their faculty and staff to figure out how to best benefit them through our service. We work by collecting donations through UF living facilities and local Gainesville businesses, completing in-person volunteering at Grace, and providing health education to GRACE residents.
Being a member of this club will provide you both with service hours and the feeling of a tangible difference being made in your community.
If interested,
come to our GBM TONIGHT 1/18, 6:00 PM, HGS 250
follow @gap.uf on Instagram
and fill out this Member Contact Form.
Gainesville has a significant homeless population. By using the human and material resources we have at UF to help them, we can make a marked impact on the community around us. Hope to see you all tonight!
Best,
