Doctors in Italy Fellowship

Dear future colleagues,

Clinical experience is critical to pre-health students’ portfolio, but the last two years have been tough with very few opportunities - both in the US and internationally.

The “Doctors in Italy Fellowship” offers ethical clinical shadowing in multiple medical specialties at three top hospitals in Italy, for students who wish to travel and pursue experiences relevant to their professional goals.

The Fellowship includes two special programs.

The first one is dedicated to students identifying as pre-med, pre-nursing, pre-PA, pre-dental or pre-pharm. It offers ethical clinical shadowing in multiple medical specialties at top hospitals in three cities in Italy.

The second is specifically tailored to vet and pre-vet students and maintains the same ethical and educational standards of the medical program. It runs for 2 weeks and includes 20 hours/week shadowing caregivers and veterinarians at a farmed animal rescue near Rome, Italy.

Placement is still available for the Summer Medical Program in Genoa (a beautiful city on the Mediterranean shore), and in Milan (Italy’s most modern city) while the Rome Program has a few spots left only for the Vet fellowship.
