Greetings from Audubon Florida’s Conservation Leadership Initiative,

We would like to extend an invitation to your student body to apply for our 8th Annual Conservation Leadership Initiative taking place in Gainesville, FL on October 25th, 2019. CLI is seeking bright and environmentally-passionate students to attend our program. This year’s new program offers continued connection with CLI through a year-long mentorship and program activities throughout the state. The program will provide students interested in a career in conservation with a great opportunity to network with leaders in the field, as well as learn about some of the most pressing issues affecting Florida today

Audubon Florida leaders organized the Conservation Leadership Initiative in conjunction with Audubon Assembly in 2011 to provide a networking and learning opportunity to students of Florida’s universities. The ultimate goal of CLI is to establish a relationship between Audubon members and future conservation leaders, so that we may better train the next generation of conservationists.

We are constantly seeking opportunities to move forward in conservation, and we recognize that the best way forward is to turn to the young people at your school. There will be panels featuring conservation experts, and sessions highlighting some of the biggest challenges facing conservation in Florida today. Most importantly, the students will gain networking opportunities with fellow students and experienced Audubon members from across the state.

Applications are open August 30th and are due by September 20, 2019.
