Good morning,
I am very excited to announce that the University of South Florida will be holding an open house for the MSPH program in Genetic Counseling on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 6:15pm. The open house is an opportunity for interested students to learn more about the field of genetic counseling and USF's program. Current students, clinical supervisors, and program leadership will be on hand to meet prospective students and answer questions. It is a great opportunity to introduce for students to introduce themselves and get to know the individuals involved in the program.
USF's Genetic counseling program is currently the only fully accredited program in the state. It is a 42 credit hour graduate degree program consisting of coursework, clinical rotations and a thesis requirement. Students with a bachelors degree in any major are welcome to apply, however, we do have some prerequisite requirements which are detailed on our website (http://health.usf.edu/publichealth/apply/graduate-admissions/genetic-counseling).
If you have any students interested in pursuing a career in genetic counseling, please encourage them to contact us. More information about the open house is available on the attached announcement.
Sincerely,
Ashley Souza, MPH, CPH
