UAID Virtual Health Equity Case Study Competition - $250 Prize!

Join UAID - the nation's oldest student 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing health equity - for their virtual Health Equity Case Study Competition (with a $250 prize!) on October 18th! 

This dynamic virtual event is dedicated to exploring, analyzing, and presenting real-world scenarios that highlight the challenges and solutions in achieving health equity.  This year's health equity case study competition is focused on the unjust and preventable health consequences of carbon emissions.  All students are welcome to participate as individuals or in teams - but only two spots are left.  $250 is awarded to the first-place winner!

The Medical Career Design Fellowship at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

The Medical Career Design fellowship is a funded research program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Division of Orthopedic Surgery. A minimum 2-year commitment is required. Successful MCD Fellow applicant will be completing a BA/BS degree. We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis until March 1. However, earlier applications are welcome and fellowship spots will be offered to the candidates on rolling basis. Earlier they apply, the better.






2026 Eastern-Atlantic Student Research Forum (ESRF) / National APSA South Regional Meeting, at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSM)

The 2026 Eastern-Atlantic Student Research Forum (ESRF) / National APSA South Regional Meeting dual conference will be hosted at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, FL, from February 27-28, 2026! We are excited to offer a weekend full of science and medicine, allowing trainees to exchange scientific ideas, form connections with likeminded researchers from across the country, participate in a wide range of workshops, learn from and collaborate with world-renowned biomedical researchers, and to present your own research


Abstract submissions for both oral and poster presentations are now open! All trainees (undergraduate, graduate, medical, post-graduate, etc.) are encouraged to submit their research for consideration! Students may also submit for a travel award, which is designed to assist in covering conference registration fees, transportation, and hotel accommodations. 

The deadline for abstract submission and travel award applications is Monday, December 1, 2025
