Each summer, Duke DPT hosts the Summer Discovery Program (SDP), designed to provide undergraduate students with a strong interest in physical therapy with an immersive experience in the profession and the Duke DPT program. This program is particularly focused on supporting students from demographic groups that are currently underrepresented in physical therapy and other health professions.
The program will take place on Duke's campus from June 9th to June 13th, and housing will be provided. Our goal is to reach as many students as possible who may benefit from this opportunity. We would greatly appreciate your help sharing this information, along with the attached brochure, with any student interested in physical therapy or other health professions. Applications for SDP are open now through March 31st!
We are also looking to host Zoom information sessions this Monday, March 3rd, 7-8pm EST and Wednesday, March 19th, 7-8 pm EST to provide additional details and answer any questions for interested students. Note, the information session times are not listed in the brochure, so we kindly ask you to highlight this in your outreach. Thank you for your time and support in helping us spread the word!
