My name is Ashwin Chetty, and I work for the healthcare information firm Close Concerns. Our organization specializes in diabetes, pre-diabetes, and obesity, and our mission is to improve outcomes by educating physicians, scientists, researchers, business leaders, educators, manufacturers, policymakers, and patients on the most important news and research in the field. We are currently hiring graduating seniors for the two-year Associate Program at Close Concerns, as well as Analyst Positions at our sister organization dQ&A, a patient-focused diabetes research company. We believe both of these positions would be of interest to many of the pre-med and biology students at the University of Florida.
From my perspective, not only as a current employee but also as a recent college graduate and aspiring medical school applicant, Close Concerns and dQ&A are great stepping-stones toward a career in science or healthcare. Our associates also work closely with The diaTribe Foundation, a nonprofit focused on advocacy and education in our family of organizations founded by Kelly Close. In fact, UF alum Arvind Sommi works at The diaTribe Foundation and has been a close collaborator. Our associate and analyst programs give new college graduates unparalleled exposure to the real world of healthcare and business, early responsibility, and opportunities for travel, both in the US and internationally.
By attending over 25 major medical and scientific conferences each year and interviewing leading medical advocates and clinical researchers, I have developed a well-rounded perspective on the broader healthcare system through the lens of diabetes and obesity, two of the greatest public health issues of our time. Recent alumni of our programs have gone on to graduate and medical school at Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, UCSF, the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, Yale, and multiple highly-renowned public and international universities, benefitting greatly from the experience and guidance that our family of organizations provides to aspiring healthcare leaders.
This year, we are looking to hire seven motivated people with all types of skills, backgrounds, interests, and experiences to work with us in our supportive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment, and we eagerly look forward to reading applications from the University of Florida. I would be more than glad to answer any questions you may have about our program.
