We currently are accepting applications to become a Care Coordinator, which is a great way to take tangible action against health disparities in Alachua County! The Mobile Outreach Clinic travels daily to different medically underserved communities in Alachua County. We provide free primary care services including work/school physicals, and prescription refills. Often, our patients belong to marginalized and minority populations; MOC seeks a group of diverse undergraduates so that we are reflective of our patient population and can provide culturally competent and sensitive care to each unique patient.
Applications are open for the Summer 2021 semester
until March 26th, 2021 at 11:59 PM. https://outreach.med.ufl.edu/volunteers/care-coordinators/care-coordinator-application/
If interested in applying, join current MOC Care
Coordinators at Yogurtology next Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5-9pm for
our interest event, where you will have the chance to talk 1-1 with current
volunteers about the program & application tips. Please RSVP at https://www.facebook.com/events/186940999572156/.
Please note our COVID-19 precautions: Outdoor seating is available and masks
are required. Social distancing guidelines will be strictly adhered to.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could send this
information out to your students! Attached is a flyer for the event, and
answers for frequently asked questions for the application.
Thank you very much,
