COPE Health Scholars

We are excited to share an opportunity for pre-health students to gain international exposure and career-building experience through our COPE Health Solutions International Health Scholars Intensive.

Our next program—taking place June 18–29, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan—offers participants a unique, immersive journey into global health systems, healthcare delivery models, and value-based payment practices.

The program is designed for current students, recent graduates, and aspiring health professionals seeking to broaden their understanding of healthcare beyond the U.S.

Highlights include:
  • Site visits to Japanese hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions
  • Seminars led by U.S. and Japanese healthcare faculty and industry experts
  • Cultural excursions across Tokyo to deepen global perspectives
  • A certificate of completion from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health to strengthen academic and professional resumes

Why Recommend This Program?
  • Non-credit bearing, short-term (12 days) – ideal for summer
  • Open to students 18+ from all academic backgrounds
  • Builds global awareness and interdisciplinary healthcare competencies
  • Provides networking opportunities with international faculty and peers
Applications are now open, with a priority deadline of October 1, 2025.
