COPE Health Scholars
We are excited to share an opportunity for pre-health students to gain international exposure and career-building experience through our COPE Health Solutions International Health Scholars Intensive.
Our next program—taking place June 18–29, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan—offers participants a unique, immersive journey into global health systems, healthcare delivery models, and value-based payment practices.
The program is designed for current students, recent graduates, and aspiring health professionals seeking to broaden their understanding of healthcare beyond the U.S.
Highlights include:
Site visits to Japanese hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions
Seminars led by U.S. and Japanese healthcare faculty and industry experts
Cultural excursions across Tokyo to deepen global perspectives
A certificate of completion from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health to strengthen academic and professional resumes

Non-credit bearing, short-term (12 days) – ideal for summer
Open to students 18+ from all academic backgrounds
