Intensive EMT-B Certification Course - Winter Break 2024
Due to overwhelming demand, we are thrilled to announce the opening of another Accelerated EMT-B course this Winter Break. This presents a fantastic opportunity for your students to enhance their clinical skills and pursue a career in emergency medical services.
Our course is not only recognized in New York but also nationally, providing graduates with the qualification to work or volunteer as EMTs in their home state after successfully completing the NYS EMT and the NREMT exams.Designed with pre-meds, pre-PA, and nursing students in mind, our course syllabus goes beyond the basic EMT level. Students will gain insights into recognizing signs and symptoms of various diseases and learn effective patient interviewing techniques within a limited timeframe. Upbeat GNV - 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Looking for Volunteers & Interns
Upbeat GNV is a DIY volunteer organization dedicated to bringing mental wellness to Gainesville’s vibrant music community. Our Mental Health Outreach Team is a great opportunity for pre-health students to gain non-clinical volunteer hours through mental health first aid training, assisting musicians first-hand in finding therapy, updating our resource guide, and much more. Volunteers & interns also get free admission to local concerts, music lessons, and jam sessions!
We’re always looking for new volunteers to join, and we’re currently working on getting Upbeat GNV listed as a UF internship site.

MedServe Early Bird Application Closing Dec. 1
We are roughly two weeks away from the end of MedServe’s Early Bird priority deadline. Help us encourage interested candidates to submit applications and supporting documents by December 1st, 2023. For Early Bird candidates, interviews will take place from mid-November to mid-January.
As a reminder, when Early Bird priority closes, our Main Round for applications begins. Candidates who submit after December 1st will be considered in our Main Round - the final date to submit all applications is February 15th, 2023.
