Passionate Musicians On Call UF Organization

Hello everyone, I am part of a new health disparities-related student organization called Passionate Musicians On Call. If you play an instrument and would love to get involved by showcasing your talent to underserved communities, feel free to fill out this interest form.

PMOC is an upcoming initiative focused on providing musical performances to underserved communities while addressing the social determinants of health. Performing arts are well-known for providing potential well-being and health benefits to active listeners induced in social stress environments. Our target populations include individuals who are low-income, homeless, disabled, immigrants, socially disadvantaged, geographically deprived, and chronically ill. The goal is to have a variety of musical groups perform at our partnering organizations with live entertainment. Members will also have the option for solo performances to showcase individual skills. Throughout the year, we plan on having general body meetings to discuss ongoing projects and host exciting social events to boost team morale. You will be contacted by the president after filling out the form.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you.

Upcoming Info Sessions: Georgetown MS in Physiology/MS Pharmacology

Hello,

I am the Senior Graduate Program Coordinator for the Department of Pharmacology & Physiology at Georgetown University. We are hosting webinars in the next few weeks for the MS in Physiology and MS in Pharmacology programs. Our deadline for applications is July 1st, with May 15th as the priority deadline.
The MS in Physiology is a great opportunity for students who are interested in getting a master's degree prior to going to medical school or other health professional schools or any students that would benefit from additional knowledge and advising for health professional schools.
Some of our graduates from the MS in Pharmacology program have also gone to health professional schools, and a good amount of our graduates have gone into the industry, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, consulting companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
Would you be able to share the information with your students?

RegeneGator is a new student organization at UF dedicated to connecting students interested in learning more about the use of stem cells and their products with research opportunities in the Center for Regenerative Medicine. Our organization has five pillars: Knowledge, Research, Community, Mentorship, and Outreach. As RegeneGators, we are proud to have Dr. Keith March, director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine, assist and support us through these principles.
