First Responder Gator Class

Hi, my name is Malea Joyce, I am the Outreach Coordinator for First Responder Gator, I was hoping you could share the following information about our spring class with the prehealth students. I have also attached our flyer for the class.

Interested in emergency medicine? Take First Responder Gator! Our 40-hour extra curricular course is a fantastic way to learn new skills and become prepared to help others in an emergency! Our class will be offered this spring from January 17th to April 13th.

First Responder Gator has both a lab and lecture component. Lectures are once a week on Wednesdays from 5:30pm - 7:30pm and are taught by Gainesville Fire Rescue firefighter and paramedic Chief David Sutton. Labs are once a week from 6:00pm - 8:00pm with the option to choose Tuesdays or Thursdays where you will learn hands-on skills like CPR, bleeding control, and more! Classes are held on the UF campus, but you do not have to be a UF student to register!

Tuesday Lab Registration: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/467392121417

Thursday Lab Registration: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/467392121417

Registering for a lab automatically registers you for the Wednesday lectures. If you have any questions or want to learn more about the class, reach out to us at contact@frgator.com and check out our website, https://frgator.com/

Cheers,

Malea Joyce

GRACE Advocacy Program (GAP) Applications

Hello Pre-Health Students!

Are you interested in bringing your Pre-Health perspectives to a director position in a new organization on campus?
My name is Philip Grandoff, and I have recently co-founded GRACE Advocacy Program (GAP). Our organization is partnered with Alachua County's largest homeless shelter, GRACE Marketplace. Within UF, we aim to bridge the student body with GRACE while supporting real community opportunities that allow students to apply their interests and skills for professional development. We plan on engaging students with the many aspects of GRACE, including:
  • General volunteering efforts
  • Donation collections
  • Administrative work
  • Health education
  • Medical service
  • Networking with the University of Florida and Santa Fe college
We would love Pre-Health Student's help! We are currently accepting director applications here and new member interest forms here through next week. For more information, Check out our website: ufgap.com and Instagram: @gap.uf.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me at (813) 600-9518 or cofounder Xander Boggs at (321) 482-1115.
Thank you, and I welcome your help in closing the GAP!
