BUSPM Undergraduate Mentorship Program

My name is Malachi Brown, I am an FIU Alumnus and a current Podiatric Medical Student at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, along with being the Student Body President. I’m reaching out to share an exciting mentorship opportunity we’ve developed for undergraduate pre-health students- Students Offering Learning & Empowerment (SOLE).

Our program connects students with 2nd and 3rd year medical students who have firsthand experience navigating the pre-medical journey, including preparation for the MCAT, conducting research, shadowing different specialty physicians, participating in community service, and more. While our mentors are pursuing podiatry, the guidance they can offer spans across various pre-health paths, making it beneficial for any student considering a career in healthcare- even if their interest isn’t specifically in podiatry.
