Hearts for Health is a student-led nonprofit with programs for mentorship, clinical and non-clinical volunteering as well as more.
Our student-led team operates from across the nation through virtual meetings. To join our team, we opened up an internship application specifically for:
- Social Media Strategists: Manages social media accounts and posting schedules with the creative freedom to introduce new strategies for social media growth; creates marketing content featured on our Instagram, YouTube & LinkedIn pages
- Session Coordinators: Responsible for coordination of Virtual Shadowing sessions such as quiz regulation and creation & email outreach to spread the word about Virtual Shadowing
- Project Developers: Build nationwide programs from scratch. Project Developers also manage our existing programs by securing new partnerships, evaluating applications and conducting interviews. It is a one-of-a-kind experience and our team has already released several programs, including;
- Patient Discharge Initiative: volunteers check in with patients during and after discharge; this program is in partnership with Tampa General Hospital, Tampa Bay's leading safety-net hospital
- Medical Miracle Mission (3M): a clinical volunteering program for volunteers to offer companionship to patients (activities include conversing, arts and crafts, dog therapy & more!)
- Student-Refugee Mentor Initiative (SRMI): English literacy program for refugees, newcomers & non-native English speakers; volunteers either tutor them 1-on-1 or teach in small groups
- Code Blue Mentorship: offering mentorship to pre-med, pre-PA, pre-dental & pre-pharmacy students from professional school students (e.g., medical students), residents, or practicing professionals (e.g., physicians)
