The University of Michigan Samuel & Jean Frankel Cardiovascular Center (Frankel CVC) is pleased to share information about the 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program. This 10-week fellowship will be held May 28, 2024 through August 2, 2024.
Each accepted fellow will be matched based on their interests, to a laboratory led by a Frankel CVC faculty member. This collection of laboratories is involved in internationally recognized research in topics such as atherosclerosis, genetic cardiomyopathies, blood clotting disorders, cardiac arrhythmias, vascular biology, and heart failure. Fellows will be paid bi-weekly at a rate of $15/hour for ten weeks of full-time (40 hours/week) work. The program includes weekly scientific seminars and coffee hours, social events, and a two-day research symposium when fellows will present their research to peers, FCVC faculty, and staff.
The 2024 application is currently open through Monday, January 8, 2024. Please forward this information and attached flyer to dedicated undergraduate students interested in research, especially those that might be interested in pursuing biomedical research as a part of their long-term career plans.
