Solace Fall Application

Hi! My name is Joshua Diedrich and I’m Chief of Membership for an organization named Solace. This is an exciting time because we are beginning applications for the fall semester!

We’re a volunteer organization based at Shands Hospital, focused on the care and treatment of geriatric patients. We’re looking for driven, bright student volunteers willing to make an impact on patients lives through connection and compassion.

Solace has a special place in my heart as we primarily focus on giving back to the underserved elderly population by volunteering with patients at Shands. Our members are dedicated and passionate about helping spread joy to the elderly community and work closely with the Admissions Discharge Transition Unit (ADTU). This past spring we’ve also had the pleasure of working at Al’z Place, a center for Alzheimer’s patients, and the 6th and 7th floor of Shand’s. This summer will only be our 6th semester as an organization at UF and we are already growing and expanding and would love for others to be a part of this journey.

Pre-Health Student Organization Opportunity!

Hello future RegeneGators!

My name is Caroline De Paula, and I am starting a new student-run organization this upcoming school year dedicated to students passionate about innovation and medicine who may find their interest in the field of Regenerative Medicine. Our RegeneGator Organization aims to promote knowledge and awareness by providing community support to our members through mentorship, bi-weekly meetings, and volunteering events. 

 

We also wish to encourage networking among our members through connection with current UF professors and researchers at the Center for Regenerative Medicine! Our meetings will include, but will not be limited to, introductions to tissue engineering and regeneration, adoptive cellular therapies for cancer, stem cells and iPSCs, CAR T-cells, gene therapy applications, and more! 

 

At RegeneGator, we truly believe you’ll be able to find your study buddies, friends, and family. If you wish to become a part of our mission and to learn more about the growing field of regenerative medicine, make sure to fill out our member interest form to be added to the listserv!
